Draft Trespass and Community Protection Law

Pursuant to Section 7.2 of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Land Management Code, this notice is to inform all Members that the following proposed Land Law is being posted for review:
📄 Title: Baaskaandibewiziibing Ojibway Nation Trespass and Community Protection Law
📝 Purpose of the Law:
This proposed law is intended to regulate and control access, residency, trespass, and removal from Baaskaandibewiziibing Ojibway Nation Lands, including the issuance of Notices of Trespass, Community Protection Orders, and Removal Orders.
It supports the protection of community health, safety, and responsibility under the authority of the BON Land Code.
📢 Important Notes:
- This is a draft version of the law posted for community review prior to enactment by Council.
- Blanks for the enactment date, law number, and quorum of Council are placeholders and will be completed upon Council approval.
- A traditional ceremony will be held on enactment day to honor spirit and the connection of keeping Baaskaandibewiziibing safe.
- A final, signed and certified version of the law will be posted after the enactment ceremony.
- ENACTMENT DAY STILL TO BE DETERMINED
